Pride Health is hiring a Laboratory Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in Rochester, Minnesota. This contract opportunity is a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Responsibilities:
- Conduct precise analyses of blood, tissue, and body fluids using both manual techniques and advanced automated instruments to assist healthcare providers in diagnosing and treating patients.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot complex laboratory instrumentation, ensuring accuracy and reliability in all testing procedures.
- Evaluate test results for precision, assist in interpreting findings, and provide critical insights to support patient care.
- Perform specimen collection as needed and manage samples while adhering to strict safety protocols for handling infectious materials and hazardous chemicals.
- Utilize multiple computer systems to input, retrieve, and report laboratory results efficiently and accurately.
- Support laboratory operations by managing workflow, optimizing testing processes, and collaborating with team members to adapt to dynamic priorities and schedules.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or human biological science is required
- Over 1 year of laboratory experience
Additional Information:
- Location: Rochester, Minnesota
- Job Type: Contract – 26 weeks *possible extension*
- Schedule: Monday to Friday – 07:00 am to 04:30 pm
- Pay Range: $ 20.00 to 27.00/hour.
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
